Markets Overview
GX supports the development of organised commodity markets across domestic trade, OTC transactions, spot-market, warehouse-based trading, export facilitation and institutional offtake. Product admission and trading arrangements are designed to follow GX market rules, quality standards, contract documentation and applicable regulatory requirements.
Agricultural Commodities
GX’s agricultural commodity focus includes staple grains, oilseeds, pulses, export crops and industrial raw materials. Key commodities for current and phased market development include maize, sorghum, millet, paddy rice, soybeans, sesame, hibiscus, ginger, groundnut, gum Arabic and other approved commodities based on market demand, quality readiness and regulatory clearance.
Hard Commodities (Platform Note)
GX is also developing capacity for selected hard commodities, including gold, lithium, and other solid-mineral-linked market opportunities. Such products will be implemented only under appropriate regulatory, custody, AML/CFT, valuation, settlement and participant-control frameworks.
Product Standards
Each commodity admitted or facilitated by GX should have clear product specifications covering grade, moisture, impurities, foreign matter, packaging, weight, inspection requirements, sampling method, delivery point, storage condition and settlement process. These standards help buyers, sellers, warehouses and financiers transact with better confidence.
