Quality Overview
GX places product quality at the centre of market confidence. The Exchange supports sampling, laboratory testing, grading, inspection, cleaning, drying, traceability and product-standard assurance to help buyers, sellers, warehouses, financiers and exporters rely on verified commodity information.
Why This Matters
Quality assurance reduces disputes, improves pricing confidence, protects off-takers, supports export readiness, helps banks rely on inventory and strengthens the credibility of exchange-facilitated transactions.
Quality Assurance Process
Commodity intake begins with documentation and weighing. Samples are taken using defined procedures and moved through laboratory testing where required. Test results inform grading, acceptance, rejection, cleaning, drying or reconditioning recommendations. Final product status is then linked to storage records, warehouse receipts, contracts or delivery instructions.
Quality Parameters
Depending on the commodity, GX quality checks cover moisture level, impurity level, foreign matter, broken or damaged grains, colour, smell, insect infestation, aflatoxin or other relevant parameters. Export-bound commodities may require additional tests, certificates or buyer-specific specifications.
